AUSTIN, Texas -- Austin police are still searching for a suspect after four people were critically injured following a shooting at a North Austin apartment complex, near Reagan High School.

Austin police responded to a call of a shooting around 8:30 p.m. at the 1500 block of Reagan Hill Drive, off of Cameron Road between U.S. 183 and U.S. 290.

Austin police say a man was shot in the chest outside of the apartment, and the woman shot was inside the apartment. Two other people were injured, but APD would not say how they were injured.

The man and woman went to UMC Brackenridge soon after, both in critical condition. Doctors upgraded them to serious condition and were then stabilized enough to go into surgery.

The motive for the shooting is unknown at this time.

Police say they do not believe the suspect poses any kind of danger to the neighborhood.
