AUSTIN -- Two women were seriously injured after they were struck by a car while riding their bikes in South Austin.
The victims were riding along South 1st Street between Barton Springs Road and Gibson Street West when they were hit around 9:30 p.m. Sunday.
Police say the car that hit them is a white or beige sedan. The driver left the seen going north on 1st Street.
Austin-Travis County EMS responded to the call around 9:30 p.m. The women, who are said to be in their 20s, were taken to University Medical Center Brackenridge in serious condition. One of them had a head injury.
