SAN ANTONIO - A man who disrupted play at the Valero Texas Open in San Antonio was arrested Saturday, the Bexar County Sheriff's Office said.
The man was serving as a volunteer at the golf tournament, said Paul Berry, spokesman for the sheriff's office.
The man was approched by deputies who tried to detain him and take him off the property. Berry said that's when the man got violent and resisted arrest.
Douglas Andrew Fahlbusch is charged with resisting arrest and was taken to the Bexar County Jail.
He reportedly was protesting the drilling of tar sands. An organization posted video of his actions at http://www.tarsandsblockade.org.
