ANDREWS, Texas -- Two drivers have been charged over the death of a West Texas woman whose vehicle was hit when she turned in front of two cars racing along a busy street.
Investigators say the accident happened on Main Street in Andrews. The victim was 48-year-old Irma Macias.
Andrews Police Chief Bud Jones says witnesses reported that two vehicles were traveling side by side, at an excessive rate of speed, when the collision happened.
Sheriff’s authorities say two men from Andrews have been charged with criminally negligent homicide. Neither man was injured in the accident Sunday afternoon.
