DALLAS (AP) — One man is dead and another wounded following an altercation outside a Dallas nightclub that involved an off-duty police officer.
The officer was providing security at the club early Thursday morning when a confrontation between two groups occurred in the parking lot.
Multiple shots were fired about 2:15 a.m. and the officer discharged his duty weapon in an attempt to intervene.
It wasn't immediately clear who fired the fatal shot or who wounded the man who's listed in stable condition at Parkland Hospital. Multiple witnesses have been transported to the police station in an effort to sort out the confusing scene.
