FORT WORTH, Texas -- Investigators say a homeless man was burned overnight Tuesday after the fire he built to stay warm spread in strong winds.
The man had built the fire between a home and a church in the 800 block of West Seminary Drive. After the man feel asleep, winds spread the fire to a nearby home and a pickup truck but were never fully involved.
The man was taken to Parkland Hospital with serious burns on 30 percent of his body. His identity hasn't been released.
No one else was injured in the fire.
