Two small earthquakes rattled Ellis County early Sunday.
The first one struck at 4:35 a.m. in Waxahachie, recorded at 2.4 magnitude. It was centered along Ovilla Road, just northwest of the intersection of Interstate 35E and Highway 287.
Then — just before 7 a.m. — a 2.5 quake followed near Glenn Heights, just south of the Dallas County line in the Stone Creek subdivison along Hampton Road.
The U.S. Geological Survey said both quakes were measured at a depth of about 3 miles under the surface.
There were no reports of damage.
