SAN ANTONIO -- A man accused of using his car to run another car off Interstate 35 has been arrested.
In October of 2012, Michael Devon Farris and his partner Ernest Young got into an argument. According to the warrant, the argument escalated and Farris slapped Young across his face. Frustrated, Young drove away in his car. Farris then got into his own car and chased Young. During the chase, Young called 911 and told the dispatcher Farris was going to hit him.
The dispatcher reported hearing crashing sounds while Young was on the phone.
When police arrived, they found Young's car had crashed into a guardrail off of Interstate 35. Young was trapped inside, but emergency personnel were able to extract him and transport him to San Antonio Military Medical Center.
Farris was arrested and faces one charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
