AUSTIN, Texas - Friends and family held a memorial service for Kasandra Perkins Saturday in east Austin.
She died last weekend after her NFL boyfriend shot her multiple times. Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher killed the 22-year-old last weekend before shooting himself.
Friends and family gathered at St. James Missionary Baptist Church Saturday morning to say goodbye.
She was later buried at a cemetery in Pflugerville. Her family held another memorial service for Perkins on Thursday in Blue Ridge, about 50 miles northeast of Dallas.
The couple had a 3-month-old daughter together.
