SAN MARCOS, Texas -- San Marcos police arrested sexual assault suspect Jonathan Porterie in San Antonio Tuesday evening after a three-day search.
Porterie, 22, is a suspect in a sexual assault that took place at a San Marcos apartment complex early Sunday morning.
Commander Penny Dunn said Porterie was taken into custody without incident at his mother’s home at 230 Hosack Avenue in San Antonio.
“It’s a great relief to get him in custody, especially for the victim and the apartment residents,” Commander Dunn said in a press release.
According to the press release, additional charges may be filed against Porterie and against family members for harboring a fugitive.
He is expected to be magistrated Wednesday. He had been out on $45,000 bond on previous charges for incidents that occurred in September.
