ARLINGTON — There were hundreds of angry fans at Cowboys Stadium after the Alabama-Michigan game ended Saturday night... and it had nothing to do with which team won or lost.
The fans said they went to the proper pickup location to get a cab, but no taxis showed up.
According to witnesses, some cab drivers were stopping for other people up the street before they got to the cab stand.
Some of the out-of-town fans said they had been waiting for hours, and this did not reflect well on North Texas.
"No communication... no updates letting us know what's going on, what the status is, whether taxicab companies were being dispatched, whether there was a reason for the delay," griped Michigan fan Elizabeth Jahn. "We've just been standing here."
When police found out that some cab drivers were bypassing the designated loading zone at North Collins Avenue and Cowboys Way, they ordered passengers to exit and told the cab driver to get in line.
