MINERAL WELLS, Texas -- Wildfires encircling a North Texas lake ignited a storage building filled with fireworks.
Palo Pinto County Judge David Nicklas says no injuries were reported.
At least 18 homes and two churches around Possum Kingdom Reservoir went up in flames Monday as at least three large wildfires approached consolidation into one massive complex of flame.
Nicklas said he had no estimate of the number of people or homes evacuated.
Trooper Gary Rozzell of the Texas Department of Public Safety said about 200 firefighters from about 20 departments were fighting the so-called Possum Kingdom Complex of wildfires, which are just 15 percent contained.
The lake is 70 miles west of Fort Worth.
