GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas -- Democratic gubernatorial candidate
Bill White has a message for pistol-packing Texas Gov. Rick Perry:
I'm not afraid of coyotes.
The former Houston mayor said Friday that he's encountered
coyotes while riding his bike through Houston's Memorial Park and
that they always run away.
Earlier this week, Perry told The Associated Press that while
out on a jog with his daughter's puppy, he killed a coyote with a
pistol that he carries on his run, loaded with hollow-point
bullets. Perry, who has a concealed weapons permit, says he jogs
with his laser-sighted .380 Ruger because he is afraid of snakes.
