HOUSTON -- A new app is already at the top of the App Store, letting you turn your photos into art.
"Repix" is an Apple editor’s pick this week. You can use your Facebook photos, or photos you take on your iPhone/iPad, and apply various brushes and effects on them. Just touch the parts of the photo you want to alter.
The end result can be uploaded to Facebook or saved back to your mobile device.
The app is free, but there’s not yet an Android version available. In addition, if you really get addicted to it, you’ll probably want to download more effects/brushes, which will cost you a few dollars.
(Make sure you download the right one. There's another app called "Re:pix" which is full of silly stickers, but doesn't have the same cool effect brushes.)
