SUV crashes into SmashBurger in southwest Houston

At least a dozen people were inside when a driver accidentally plowed their SUV into the restaurant. No one was seriously injured.

HOUSTON - A SmashBurger in southwest Houston will be closed for a while after an SUV crashed into it Sunday afternoon. 

Witnesses said at least a dozen people were inside the restaurant at the time of the accident. Thankfully, no one was seriously injured.

The SmashBurger is located at Buffalo Speedway and Highway 59.

The accident happened around 2 p.m. Sunday and caused a gaping hole inside the front of the restaurant. It is unclear when the restaurant will reopen.
