Elderly double amputee saved from fire

FORT WORTH — A 92-year-old double amputee was rescued by a neighbor from his burning home in Fort Worth Thursday morning.
A fire got underway at Alfred Crosby's house at in the 5500 block of Geddes Avenue in Fort Worth's Como area shortly after 11 a.m.
Crosby had lived at the house with his 90-year-old wife Luella since the 1940s.
Luella Crosby alerted a neighbor to the fire which had started near his bed.
Frank Duvall, 60, initially tried to put the fire out before rescuing the bed-bound man.
Firefighters arrived at the scene and were able to quickly extinguish the blaze.
Investigators are still trying to work out what caused the fire.
Alfred Crosby was taken to 92-year-old was taken to hospital but he made it out safely.
