HOUSTON -- The State Fair of Texas is costing people more this year.  The price for an adult to get in the fair is $14.00 and $10.00 for children. 

Once inside, the average ride costs $4.00 with the big attractions, like the Ferris wheel and bungee jumping, costing more.

“We spent $200, and that's with discount tickets and parking, and we haven't gotten inside the fair yet," said Mary Williams, fair patron.

Many people at the fair said the cost is worth it. They point out that it would cost even more to go to similar attractions like six flags.
