SAN ANTONIO -- Tejano singer Emilio Navaira has been in another traffic accident.

He and his wife were hospitalized in stable condition late Wednesday after their car and a truck collided in a San Antonio ntersection. Hospital officials didn't immediately return calls to update his condition early Thursday.

The wreck comes about six months after Emilio was seriously hurt when his tour bus slammed into a Houston-area freeway barrier.

Police believe Maria Navaira was driving when the crash happened about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. Police say the truck driver was unhurt, but the Navairs were taken to University Hospital.

Emilio's been undergoing rehabilitation since the Houston wreck. His agent, Joe Casias, says the couple was on the way back from rehab at the time of the latest wreck. Emilio's been taking his rehab sessions in Houston until Hurricane Ike caused him and his wife to return home to San Antonio recently.
