Man rides horse 12 hours to probation meeting after car breaks down
08:55 AM CDT on Friday, July 18, 2008
SAN ANTONIO -- A man in the San Antonio area found an old school solution to a mechanical problem.
His car broke down the night before he had an appointment with his probation officer.
So the man rode his horse from the town of Pleasanton 40 miles to downtown San Antonio.
The trip took him about 12 hours.
Plenty of people noticed his arrival.
After he came all that way, his appointment lasted only about five minutes.
Of course, if he hadn’t shown up, police could have arrested him.
