According to the latest ranking from the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, there is no worst place to live for fall allergies than Austin, Texas.

The heavy rains this past summer gave the area a big boost in the amount of ragweed over the past couple of months. The ragweed actually stuck around for about a month longer than usual

We are now heading into cedar season.

Dr. Bill Howland from the Asthma and Allergy Center of Austin says it appears that it's not going to be any better.

"The cedar pollen counts in Central Texas are some of the highest pollen counts in anywhere in the world, so if you are allergic to cedar and you are out on a bad day -- it doesn't get any worse than that," Howland said.

San Antonio is right behind Austin as the second worst place for allergies.

The top five worst cities for allergies includes Oklahoma City and both Lakeland and Orlando, Florida.

Last year Austin ranked 12th in the nation for the worst fall allergies.
