Homeowner has pet alligator

Some people like cats, some people like gerbils, but one person in New York likes alligators.
The homeowner was keeping a huge alligator in a special indoor pond in his basement. He had been taking care of the alligator for at least eight years.
It’s illegal to keep alligators as pets in New York, but since the homeowner turned himself in, there will be no charges.The gator has now been moved to a wildlife sanctuary in Florida.
