A Wimberley mother got quite a surprise Friday morning.

Sharon Uhlaender was surprised with breakfast in bed by renowned Chef Emeril Lagasse Friday morning during Good Morning America.

Since Uhlaender is the school secretary at Wimberley High School, her "bed" was put in the middle of the high school gym before the entire student body.

Emeril told us keeping the surprise a secret was quite a task, because Uhlaender -- known as "Momma U" to students there -- knows everything that happens at the high school.

"You look around and see all the students... that was a difficult thing. We managed to really, really do it. It was a great team... here at the school, and we managed to keep it hush-hush. She really didn't have any idea," said Lagasse.

"It really was a surprise. It's the first time I've ever been surprised in my whole life. Ever," Uhlaender said.

Students say Uhlaender remembers their birthdays, dries their tears and comes through for them when they really need it.
