Famed poker player tied up, robbed

AMARILLO, Texas -- Famed poker player “Amarillo Slim” was not injured when two armed men tied him up in his home and robbed him, police said.
Thomas Austin “Amarillo Slim” Preston Jr., 78, had been out, but found the men in his house when he returned Sunday night.
The robbers had two of his shotguns and took them as they fled, according to Preston.
No arrests have been made.
He co-wrote the book: “Amarillo Slim in a World Full of Fat
People: The Memoirs of the Greatest Gambler Who Ever Lived,” with Greg Dinkin.
