04:47 PM CDT on Sunday, August 20, 2006

Associated Press

Authorities detained a plane and a passenger at San Antonio International Airport in San Antonio on Saturday.

The investigation centers on a passenger who was in the restroom for a lengthy period of time.

A flight attendant got suspicious, checked the restroom when the passenger vacated and found some tampering within the walls.

The plane landed in San Antonio where passengers were deplaned and searched.

Delta Airlines officials said the flight was a Shuttle America flight from Atlanta to San Antonio.

One passenger was detained for questioning all others were been allowed to continue on to their destination.

The San Antonio FBI says it appears the passenger was tampering with the smoke detector in the bathroom and detainment is normal procedure for anyone tampering with an airplane.
