Watch: 3 front loaders of ice water dumped on Colorado police

ARVADA, Colorado -- Arvada staff, volunteers and friends accepted the "Ice Bucket" challenge from Castle Rock Police.

The "Ice Bucket" challenge is based on the Internet sensation where groups have ice water dumped over themselves in order to raise money for a charity.

The rules are simple: Record yourself getting a bucket of ice water dumped over your head and call out the next five challengers on social media.

If you do not accept the challenge, you must donate $100 to the charity.

The charity they chose was the National Peace Officers Fund which assists the families of police officers who have lost their spouses in the line of duty.

DougCo recently accepted the challenge, but they used fire hoses.

Parker Police started this challenge when they chose DougCo.

Arvada Police challenged other police departments to take the ice challenge.
