18-wheeler loses load on West Loop ramp

An early morning incident involving an 18-wheeler blocked the northbound Southwest Freeway connecting ramp to the West Loop northbound. The closure lasted nearly three hours, briefly slowing the start of the rush hour commute Friday. Police said a truck lost its load over the guardrail of the ramp before 3 a.m. A large container fell into a grassy area below the road.
