Photos: Trooper's car hit during stop

A Texas state trooper was injured early Friday when a passing vehicle struck his cruiser from behind, authorities said. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, it was around 12:30 a.m. when the trooper stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on the East Freeway near Federal. The trooper was sent to the hosptial in stable condition.
