COLDINGHAM, SCOTLAND - FEBRUARY 15: Simon Bilcock comes in from surfing at Coldingham Bay, an inlet in the North Sea on February 15, 2012 in Coldingham, Scotland. Improved wetsuit materials and technology allowed the sport for become an all year-round activity in places like Dunbar and Thurso, with many dedicated surfers able to take advantage of the better waves and less crowded breaks the winter offers. Although most people assume surfing in the UK began in the 1960s, it was in fact already starting to become a popular summer activity on British beaches by the end of the First World War. Surfing, which is one of the fastest growing sports in Britain, is now a multi-million pound industry and employs 1000s of people in the UK alone. (Photo by Jeff J Mitchell/Getty Images)
