According to the Houston Police Department, it was around 2 a.m. when an officer spotted the older red BMW sedan speeding near Bellarie at Hillcroft. The driver crashed into an apartment parking lot, hitting several vehicles and partially smashing through a brick wall.

HOUSTON -– Police in southwest Houston said the man who crashed a stolen BMW into several parked cars early Friday morning managed to run away on foot.

According to the Houston Police Department, it was around 2 a.m. when an officer spotted an older red BMW sedan speeding near Bellarie at Hillcroft. Before the officer could even try to pull over the suspect, the driver went north on Dunlap at a high rate of speed.

The driver crashed into an apartment parking lot, hitting several vehicles and partially smashing through a brick wall.

HPD called the owner of the BMW, who said she didn’t even know her car had been taken.

Police searched for the suspect who ran away, but he was not immediately located.
