LONDON -- World War II veterans aboard HMS Belfast in central London, on May 20, 2014, marked the 70th anniversary of D-Day.

HMS Belfast was one of the first ships to open fire on German positions at 5.27 a.m. on June 6, 1944, and is one of only three remaining vessels in the world to have taken part in the bombardment fleet to support the Normandy Landings.
