HOUSTON – Few people had knowledge of a 1-year-old baby who was found in deplorable conditions after a neighbor called about malnourished animals on the family’s property.
Investigators found the baby Tuesday covered in roaches inside a mobile home in the 100 block of County Road 2802. She was checked out at a hospital and turned over to CPS.
The man and woman who are believed to be her parents are on probation from a previous child abuse and neglect case, investigators said.
Mabel Larsen was arrested on animal-abuse charges, and investigators said she could be facing a slew of other charges in the days to come.
Deputies were looking to speak with her husband, Aaron Parker. Parker was being called a person of interest
Just three years ago, Child Protective Services said it removed five other children from inside the same mobile home. CPS confirmed Parker’s 10-year-old daughter was the first to be removed from the home.
