According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the Special Investigations Vice Unit, along with the Human Trafficking Task Force, arrested 18 suspects on 21 charges during the operation conducted on Thursday.

The sting targeted Lolita’s Mexican Cantina, located in the 11700 block of Beaumont Highway, and Linda’s Bar, located in the 2200 block of McCarty, investigators said. Both locations were found to be engaged in illegal activity, primarily prostitution.

The operation entailed undercover deputies entering the locations posing as customers, investigators said. Once inside the business, the undercover officers would ascertain which employees and/or customers were engaged in illegal activity.

As a result of the investigation, 15 women and three men were arrested for prostitution and various other charges.
