TEXAS CITY — An 11-year-old girl was struck and killed by a big rig truck as she waited for the school bus Monday morning in Texas City. Christina Lopez was sitting at the bus stop just before 8 a.m. when the trucker, a neighbor, turned the corner and hit her. There was no sidewalk and police say the sixth-grader was sitting partially on the road.
