HOUSTON -- Firefighters early Thursday responded to a two-alarm apartment fire on the northwest side of town. The fire broke out around 4:30 a.m. at the Cancun Apartments on Wirt Road, according to the Houston Fire Department. One resident and a firefighter sustained non-life threatening injuries and were sent to the hospital.
