SAN ANTONIO -- A car plowed into the rear of a home then sped off on the city's north-west side early Friday morning. According to San Antonio police investigators, the hit and run happened while two sisters and their sons were asleep inside the home.
The vehicle, which has not been identified, smashed through a fence before crashing into the home in the 7900 block of Quail Sky around 2:30 a.m.
Stephanie Fothergil, who was inside during the crash first thought the commotion was a burglar. She said she and her sister screamed to wake up their son before discovering the back of their home was severely damaged.
Police believe the driver may have been under the influence or lost control of the vehicle in the foggy conditions.
