HOUSTON -- Two Houston firefighters have been hurt battling a house blaze in which a brick wall collapsed.
The Houston Fire Department on Thursday said one firefighter who was injured when the wall fell is hospitalized in stable condition.
The second firefighter was transported to a hospital after receiving an electrical shock during Wednesday night's blaze. That firefighter is described as alert and conscious.
Officials are trying to determine what sparked the fire that heavily damaged a two-story house. Nobody else was injured.
Officials said the fire broke out at a house near Wheeler at Dowling just after 9 p.m. Wednesday.
Neighbors said the heavy smoke and flames were coming from the halfway house.
Houston fire officials said one person had to be rescued from the house.
There was no early word on what may have caused it.
