HOUSTON -- It's time to let the good times roll with the world's largest Art Car Parade. It takes place in Houston Saturday, May 12 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The wacky wheels will wind down Allen Parkway from Waugh to Bagby.

This is the 25th anniversary of the fun, fabulous and free event.

The parade kicked off in 1988 with 40 cars and 2,000 spectators. The 2012 event willl feature 250 vehicles and about 250,000 people.

Houston was the first, but other cities have added their own parades in recent years.

Here are some photos from the 2011 Art Car Parade. Enjoy!
