Reports of shots fired at a Denver hospital have prompted police to rush to the scene, and the Denver Post is reporting there is an active shooter at the facility.
Denver police announced they are seeking a white male, about 130 pounds, in his mid 30s, wearing a flannel shirt and hat in conjunction with an investigation related to reports of gunfire at Rose Medical Center.
The facility is asking staff and patients to shelter in place and the hospital is on lockdown, hospital spokeswoman Deborah Polhill told the Post.
All inbound traffic to the medical center is closed, police said, adding that the reports of shots fired have not yet been confirmed.
A man with a gun was spotted, KUSA reported.
Hospital spokeswoman Julie Hogan told KUSA she did not believe anyone was shot or hurt.
A voice mail message left with the hospital did not receive an immediate response.
