Ted Cruz spoke with Trump, Pence on Wednesday

HOUSTON -- Senator Ted Cruz tells KHOU 11 News that he personally spoke with President-elect Donald Trump on Wednesday.

Mike Pence also spoke with Cruz, the senator says.

Senator Cruz was non-committal when asked if he would accept a position within Trump’s White House, if offered.

The trio did not meet in person, however, Cruz's office clarified.

After Election Day, Cruz labeled Trump’s win a “victory for the American worker,” reported The Washington Post. At the same time, Cruz said he was looking forward to working with Trump to confirm a new Supreme Court justice.

The blog bearingarms.com went as far as to ask “Is Ted Cruz Donald Trump’s Perfect Fit for the Supreme Court?”
