A North Texas teen is offering up a new challenge on social media.
There were the Ice Bucket Challenge, Running Man Challenge and, lately, the Mannequin Challenge. But now the challenges took a political turn.
You don’t have to get wet or stand still for this one, just run when someone says the phrase “Trump is Coming,” according to the challenge. Emi Chavez, of Azle, told BBC he came up with the idea after the election.
“Me and my friends are Mexican but we were born here and everyone is scared by what Trump said about sending Mexicans back home and all the other racist things, as well,” Chavez, 16, told BBC.
He said in a Youtube video that once he got to school, him and his friends decided to record the video and post it to Snapchat, Twitter and Instagram. The challenge has caught the attention of outlets such as Mashable, Teen Voque and The Guardian.
So far President-Elect Donald Trump hasn’t responded on Twitter to the challenge that bears his name. However, he’s has been busy working on filling his Cabinet positions and met with former Texas Governor Rick Perry Monday.
