HOUSTON – A woman collapsed Tuesday during Gov. Rick Perry’s speech in the capitol.
The Senate staffer was standing in the back of the chamber when she passed out in the middle of Perry’s address to the Senate.
The governor didn’t notice and just kept on speaking, but a number of people started calling for help.
Sen. John Whitmire signaled for the governor take a time out and Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst interrupted and called for a doctor.
After a minute or so break, it turned out the woman was fine and the governor even joked about it saying when you talk about raising taxes, some people swoon.
