WASHINGTON -- U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchinson (R-Texas) bid farewell to her colleagues in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday.
Hutchinson said, “I leave the Senate knowing I have worked with men and women of great patriotism, intellect, and heart from both sides of the aisle. I would like to thank my colleagues -- Democrat and Republican -- for the many years of working together."
Hutchinson has represented Texas in the U.S. Senate since 1993.
Fellow Republican Ted Cruz will fill her Senate seat.
