SACRAMENTO, California -- California Gov. Jerry Brown signed legislation on Monday to require web sites and apps geared to minors to offer an "eraser button."
The law requires sites to remove information posted by a minor if the minor requests it.
According to CNET.com, the legislation has limitations, such as the data won't be completely deleted from servers.
The law goes into effect by 2015, and is intended to preserve the privacy or minors and their future endeavors.
