HOUSTON—Around 3,000 people came out to hear Ron Paul speak at a town hall meeting at the University of Houston Friday evening.

Despite being behind Mitt Romney in delegates, Paul’s campaign is moving forward.

Paul’s message has struck a chord with some voters, particularly college students.

"He’s all for states’ rights, a big supporter of the Constitution. I think a lot of people say that he doesn’t stand a chance and those people should take into consideration that he is the underdog and the underdog sometimes wins," said John Veal, a Paul supporter.

Paul has 76 delegates while Romney has 832. He will be the last Republican candidate competing with Mitt Romney now that Newt Gingrich is planning to suspend his campaign next week.
