Police: Woman lifeguard abducted, raped at Va. pool

ALEXANDRIA, Virginia — A woman was abducted and raped Saturday at a pool in Virginia, police said.

According to police, the 24-year-old woman was working as a lifeguard at the pool in Alexandria just after 2 p.m. ET when an unknown man approached her. She said no one else was at the pool at the time.

She called police to report that she had been abducted and raped. The suspect also brandished a firearm, police said. The victim called for help and the suspect fled.

She said no one else was at the pool at the time.

The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-30s, tall and thin, with short hair and dark eyes. At the time of the assault, he was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, light-colored jeans and a blue baseball hat.
