Teenage girl dies from stabbing after argument on bus

We are learning more tonight about the 17-year-old girl Kaelia Minor.

WASHINGTON - A 17-year-old teenage girl is dead after being stabbed during a fight outside of a Metrobus in the District Monday night. 

D.C. police identified the victim as Kaelia Minor of Northwest, D.C. 

The incident happened around 8 p.m. at the intersection of Kansas Avenue and Emerson Street in Northwest, where two women began fighting on the 62 bus.

The fight spilled out into the street and one woman allegedly attacked the other with what police believe was a large kitchen knife. The victim, who was stabbed in the chest was rushed away in an ambulance but died a short time later.

Police are looking for a black female, 5'5" to 5'6" tall, between the ages of 17 and 19. She was wearing dark pants and a denim jacket. She was last seen heading westbound Farragut and police believe she is still holding that knife.
