GALVESTON — A group of veteran teachers and community workers is asking for help in launching the Galveston Children’s Museum on the ground floor of the Moody Mansion.
The estimated opening date is July 4. An information session to outline preliminaries and display exhibit samples is set for 5:30 p.m. today at Moody Mansion.
“The community is invited to hear about what we think is really an exciting opportunity for hands-on learning for not only our own children here in Galveston, but also visitors to the island,” said Betty Massey, executive director of the Mary Moody Northen Endowment that oversees the Moody Mansion.
