LIBERTY COUNTY, Texas – Two teenage girls are in the hospital after the ATV they were riding in rolled over late Saturday night.
According to the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office, five teens, four girls and a boy, were riding in the ATV when the driver took a turn too fast causing the vehicle to roll over.
Deputies said that two of the girls suffered severe injuries. The 13-year-old female driver injured her leg, while a second girl injured her foot. The three other teens were not injured in the accident.
The injured teens were airlifted by Life Flight to Memorial Hermann Hospital to be treated for their injuries.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is conducting an investigation in to the accident, and no charges have been filed at this time.
