GALVESTON -- Galveston police are asking for the public’s help in locating a person of interest in a homicide.
Police say Juan Navarro was assaulted Saturday night and his vehicle was stolen from his business, Panaderia Navarro Bakery, located at 3801 Broadway.
Navarro was rushed to the hospital, but later died.
Officials say the vehicle was located near the intersection of 37th and Avenue M on Sunday.
During the course of the investigation, police determined that a person of interest in the homicide, Harold Norwood, had been in possession of Navarro’s vehicle following the assault.
The Galveston Police Department has obtained a warrant for the arrest of Norwood for the offense of Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.
Norwood is described as a black male, 6’1,” 190 pounds, and has brown eyes and black hair.
