RICHMOND, Texas -– The Richmond Police Department on Monday released video of an amazing rescue that happened over the weekend.

Richmond PD says it was around 1 a.m. Sunday when Officer Ramon Morales was advised of a woman sitting on the train tracks in the 100 block of Douglas. Morales arrived just as the crossing arms went down.

The officer grabbed and pulled the woman to safety just seconds before the train came through. She was transported to Oak Bend Hospital for assessment, police said.

There were no injuries to the woman or Officer Morales.

In a release, Richmond PD said the officer has only been with the department for 10 months.
